Summer was busy - but we managed to squeeze quite a bit of fun out of it this year!
Hours and hours in the pool.
The humming birds came to spend the summer with us again this year.
The boys attended our troops annual Scout Olympics. Jacob is blindfolded and his team is guiding him up a rope and he had to drop down into a roped off circle to pick up the rock - couldn't touch the ground or knock the smaller rock off the bigger rock. Mission Impossible.
Jason was giving Jared some pointers when it came time for him to venture out over the circle.
The Scout Committee staged a surprise mock first aid scene. Pretty gross, huh?
This is what the boys came upon - after more than 20 minutes of making a splint and a stretcher we finally let the boys in on the secret. Of course then many of them insisted that they knew it was fake all along...whatever! :)
Jacob attended a few basketball camps. These were taken at Gonzaga.
I geeked out the day that John Stockton was watching one of Jacob's games. I stood about five feet from him and was giddy the entire time he was there. No, I didn't take a picture. Yes, I wish now that I would have! :)
Kimmel Athletics always times a big sale the weekend of the basketball camp - this year, mama got a new pair of shoes!!
Jason and Grandpa celebrated their birthdays.
And my family managed to get a family picture. One of about 3 that I can think of.
Yeah, that's more like it!
