Happy Birthday Jason

Sixteen years ago the doctor handed me a sweet little 9lb 9oz baby boy. The doctor failed to mention that what would happen next would be that I'd blink and that baby would be 16 YEARS OLD!

Here's Jason with his two best girls...his mommy and his new 12 string guitar, Betty (Black Betty if you're being formal.)

It's a good day when you have a German Chocolate Cake placed in front of you -

- especially when that's followed by a table full of family and good friends to share it with!

He plays so well, but only for family - we're hoping some classes next fall at SFCC will boost his confidence! (For now I'll enjoy laying on the couch in his room and listening to him play at bed time!)

Happy Birthday, Jacie-K - you are loved!

xoxo,
Mom

Good Friends, Good Food, Good Weather - SUMMER!!

We just spent a wonderful evening with our friends Cheryl & Dave! Dinner and Loon Lake - it was joyous!

Yummy dinner...

Then outside for some fun -

The caravan to the lake...

Finally - SUMMER!!!!!

They said it was warm...mom doubted their integrity and opted to remain in the boat!

Back to the house for S'mores! Mmmmmm! A perfect evening!!

For the record, this is one of those HUGE marshmallows - and despite how dire my situation looks in the picture, I did NOT lose it into the fire...it survived and became part of this delicious disaster...

July 5, 2010

Last night we met up at Uncle James & Aunt Lisa's house for a BBQ! I believe we came home with close to 200 pictures. These are just a few of the favorites!

Dillon (And I'm pretty sure I've misspelled his name!)

This is either Ryan, Levi or Caleb (Yep, I'm that bad of an aunt!)

Malorie & Dad roasting marshmallows

Megan on the tire swing

Andrew debating another burger

Matt & Sylvia's adorable little family

Man, remember when we could do stuff like this?? (Neither can I!)

Gracie loved the swings

Maddie & the mallows

This one just screams, "Really mom? Can I do ANYTHING without you documenting it with the camera??" (Evidently not!)

July 4, 2010

The gang at Uncle Dick and Aunt Marlene's house waiting for the fireworks to start.

Awwwww, Uncle Larry & Auntie Joy

Malorie deciding if she wants a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting - how is that even questionable?

Melanie telling me she wanted her ice-cream cone to be "this big".

Auntie Joy has gone from giving us home perms to giving us home face lifts.

Cousin Mardi

Finally! I found shoes that make ME the taller sister!

A Twofer! Not just one goofy face from Jason - check out grandpa behind him!

Dad and the boys enjoying one of many cones!

I think they do things like this thinking I won't put a bad picture in the blog - someday they'll learn!

Mom and Dad - 40 years together and still smiling...

Our family law enforcers not so much impressed with Dustin's police siren ring tones.

Malorie & Auntie Lindsay

Kera & Dusty

"The Bombs Bursting in Air.." Not Meredi's favorite part!

Time to head for home...
